About the breed
Often underestimated due to the 'poodle clip,' this is actually an athletic and exceptionally intelligent dog.

The Poodle breed is known for its intelligent, active, alert, and trainable nature. They are known for their patience and love of children, making them excellent family dogs. They love human companionship and do not tolerate loneliness well.

The average lifespan of this breed is 12-15 years. Generally a healthy breed, like all purebred dogs, they may have predispositions to certain genetic diseases. In larger varieties, it is important to pay attention to the joints (hip dysplasia) and prevent gastric torsion with proper feeding. Consistent prevention and a quality diet are key to a long life.
Grooming Needs
Requires intensive coat care. Daily brushing is a must to prevent tangles, and regular clipping is necessary. Regular checks of the eyes and ears, as well as nail trimming, are also important.
